Victoria Simcock of Green Farm, near Hereford, contacted Dyfed CCTV to discuss upgrading and expanding CCTV coverage across both the farm and their wedding and events venue, The Granary.
Green Farm is a diversified rural business, with The Granary providing a popular venue for weddings and events. The venue includes a function room, bar and lounge area, outdoor patio and surrounding buildings, all of which required reliable security and monitoring.
Dyfed CCTV owners Alistair Cox and Gosia visited the farm to carry out a full survey and discuss the best approach for protecting both the venue and the wider property.
Solution
Following the survey, we designed and installed a large Hikvision CCTV system covering the venue buildings, yard areas and residential property.
The installation included:

9 × Hikvision black turret cameras

2 × Hikvision white turret cameras

3 × Hikvision black bullet cameras

1 × Hikvision white bullet camera

1 × Hikvision dome camera

16 channel Hikvision network video recorder
To connect the buildings across the site we installed:

6 wireless WiFi bridges linking multiple buildings

4 IP rated equipment enclosures with fused spurs

Multiple PoE network switches to distribute camera connections

5 quick mounts and UB-AM mounting hardware for the wireless links
The system also includes a 21 inch monitor installed in the property, allowing easy viewing of the cameras on site.
During the installation we also removed older PTZ cameras previously installed at the house, leaving them with the customer.
Connectivity Across the Site
Because the venue and farm buildings are spread across the property, the system was designed with a robust wireless network infrastructure.
Wireless bridges link the buildings together, with IP-rated enclosures housing network switches and power supplies to keep equipment protected and organised within the agricultural environment.
Outcome
The finished system now provides comprehensive coverage across the wedding venue, bar areas, car parks, entrances, patios and surrounding buildings, giving the owners clear visibility across the site.
With weddings, events and farm operations taking place on the same property, the new CCTV system provides both security and operational awareness, ensuring the venue remains safe for guests, staff and visitors.
The system has also been designed so additional cameras can be added in the future as the business continues to expand.
